Much Fun Had at Halloween Extravaganza

10.29.05, Skydive Delmarva jumpers braved the cooler temperatures on Saturday and 16 jumpers formed 4 teams for the 4-way scrambles. After one round all four teams were tied, and in Al Shinaberry's words "Everyone's a winner!". True to form for an RW contest, each team received a bag of Halloween candy with glow-in-the-dark wrappers that said "Defeat the Dark Side".

After the sunset load, everyone got their costumes on and brought out their jack o' lanterns. Dana received a jump ticket for winning the costume contest as a groovy cool hippie chick. She later confessed that she hadn't heard about the costume competition and just came in her normal attire. Other entrants included Mike and Robin Davidson as Pooh and Tigger, Christine and Gregor as and electrical outlet and plug, Kathy and Brian as a bad cop and bad priest, Mike Smith as the Grim Reaper, Larry as a ghoul, Doug as a biker dude, Dave Matchett as a wizard with a good angel and a bad demon giving him advice, Dave Obloy as a gangster, Sarah as a french artist/gangster, Janet as white trash, and Tammy as an airplane mechanic.

Dana, Ed, and Collin came in a tie for first place in the pumpkin carving contest and each received a jump ticket.

Many people contributed excellent food and drinks including Larry's Graveyard Jungle Juice, and Gregor and Christine's Spiked Death cider. The highlight was Larry's marinated venison.

ThatGuy Rocks Delmarva and Lisamarie Dooley Earns 'A' License

7.18.05, We managed to get 5 loads up on Saturday in between the thunderstorms left over from Hurricane Dennis. After the last thunderstorm ended the day of jumping, the night time festivities started. We had a little excitement to start the night when a bolt of lightning hit the dropzone. Luckily noone was hurt. There were many great contributions to the potluck barbeque including marinated steak and lemon pepper chicken. We quickly went through five gallons of hurricane drinks, and ThatGuy put on a great performance, playing three sets of music that got everyone dancing.
