David began jumping in the Army in 1981 and finally took up skydiving when his son turned 16 and asked to skydive for his birthday present. They went through static line training together at Raeford NC with the Green Beret sport club. Since then David has made almost 500 jumps and holds D license 24148.
David recently retired from the Army and hopes to get his grandsons under canopy when they both learn to walk. In the meantime, he is standing by to help new jumpers with some simple, easy and low pressure fun jumps. “My son showed me the joy of being in the air”.
His fiancée, Pam, is not a jumper but can be found at the DZ on Saturday nights enjoying the company of the happy crowd that gathers at the end of the day.
Blue Skies!
