What a cool way to celebrate your 18th birthday!
If you are sure you want to get into the sport, and you think you can complete the whole 7 jump program doing at least one jump a month, I'd go with AFF. If you think you just want to try it out and experience what it's like, I'd do a tandem.
Tandems let you relax and enjoy the skydive. You don't have to worry about doing anything but arching. You have lots of time to look around, wave at the camera, etc. The instructor does everything else.
On an AFF dive you will have a number of tasks to do during freefall. The tasks are designed to prepare you for being able to skydive on your own. You'll learn to control your legs, adjust your body position, check your altitude, and practice pulling your pilot chute. It's still really fun, there's just more to do. The good thing is you get to fly your own parachute which is a lot of fun.
When is your birthday? Are you getting video? |
